Brittany Long has been a fan of my photography for a long time, and has won my annual Christmas print giveaway three years in a row. When I said I was going to visit Houston & Austin, she offered to show me around her neck of the woods.
I wasn’t having a very good day when we met, since Houston is a hellhole of inescapable traffic. I was napping on a park bench outside an art museum when she found me. We kept getting lost while driving around Houston, so ultimately we decided to go to her hometown, Friendswood, TX. We walked around the Challenger 7 Memorial Park, a place she often photographs, talked about silly things on past shoots, ate at a nearby Chili’s, then ventured around the Kemah Boardwalk, which I hadn’t seen in almost 10 years.
