Last weekend, Erin & I had the pleasure of visiting some friends down in Austin shortly before Erin had to start back at school. While planning the trip, I discovered that my flickr friend Anna S. had just moved to Austin to get her PhD in Mathematics and the University of Texas, so I messaged her, offering to show her around town. We had a blast! We ate at Torchy’s Tacos, shopped at Buffalo Exchange, Toy Joy, & Urban Outfitters, spent the afternoon at Secret Beach, raced to Mount Bonnell to catch the sunset, grabbed coffee at Mozart’s Cafe, ate at P. Terry’s, and ended the night on Rainey Street. It was an action packed day, and Anna was way cooler than I expected. It was definitely the best time I’ve ever had in Austin.
P.S. It was funny taking pictures of her, because her infectious smile disappeared instantly, and was replaced by her trademark poses I’ve seen so many times in her photos. For our next shoot together, I’ll be sure to capture the real Anna that’s behind the camera.
