Claire Morales & Rachel Gollay – “Suzanne”.

Claire Morales is one of the most talented and hard working singer / songwriters in Denton, TX. Last year she released her first full length album, Amaranthine, a surprise Halloween album with Daniel Markham called Harmony in Hell, and began a covers project by collaborating with some of the best musicians in the Metroplex. We first started working together by making a music video for her first cover in the project, “Strange” by Patsy Cline, as performed with Jena Pyle from Sundae Crush. Her second cover was “Summer Wine” by Nancy Sinatra Lee Hazelwood, as performed with Dalton Kane from …

“Wildest Dreams” by Claire Morales

Back in October we had the pleasure to film one of Claire Morales’ shows at Shipping & Receiving in Fort Worth, Texas. It was originally a class project for my film styles class, but this was just too good not to share with everyone. “Wildest Dreams” is a soft and energetic song with two very different sides. Claire’s voice is powerful and magical all through out while the band rocks out and pushes everything into a glorious rock and roll party. Alexander Hastings dance moves are the bomb right? (That’s the guy slaying away on the electric guitar). Ryan Williams …

Joseffa Trip – Winter Fairytale.

Joseffa Trip is one of my favorite models / actresses, and she is always a delight to work with. When I asked her if there was any sort of photoshoot she’d like to do, she said she wanted to be in a fairytale. Once we figured out exactly how we wanted it to look like, we ran into a couple of problems: 1) long, beautiful, flowing fairytale dresses are actually much harder to find than I would have guessed, and 2) it being the middle of winter, there wasn’t a forest around with any sort of green leaves. After weeks …

Erin & Wes Go West – Days 5, 6, & 7.

Day 5. We spent the entire fifth day of our trip exploring around LA. It was one of the only days of our trip where we didn’t have to be anywhere in particular, but we did map out all the things we were interested in doing. Wes outside the LACMA this mornin #erinandwesgowest #vscocam #vsco A photo posted by Photo/Video/Producer (@erinsummerlin) on Aug 17, 2015 at 2:22pm PDT Our first big stop for the day was the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. We spent hours walking through each room and checking out everything they had to offer. I was …

Erin & Wes Go West – Day 4.

We left Phoenix very early on the fourth day of our trip in order to make it to Los Angeles at a reasonable hour. We stopped for lunch at a place called Rebel BBQ in Blythe, California, right across the state line. Surprisingly it was some of the best food we had on the whole trip. Damn good barbeque! From there we turned off the main road for a little visit to the Imperial Sand Dunes. I had stumbled upon them on accident around sunset the last time I was out west and it was one of the most beautiful …

Erin & Wes Go West – Day 3.

On the third day of our trip, we woke up early and headed north to visit the Grand Canyon. We stopped at a sunflower field just outside Flagstaff for some photos, because we always seem to miss photographing the sunflowers in Texas. It was Erin’s first time visiting the Grand Canyon, so I insisted we go watch the IMAX movie about the Grand Canyon before she saw it for herself. It definitely does a good job of getting you amped up to see and appreciate the magnitude of the place. I told Erin to close her eyes once we got …

Erin & Wes Go West – Day 2.

Even though we are rushing to get to the West Coast, we can't not stop to take photos with these beautiful desert landscapes. #erinandwesgowest . A photo posted by Wesley Kirk (@wesleykirk) on Aug 14, 2015 at 1:17pm PDT For the second day of our trip, we left Las Cruces and headed southwest to make a quick stop at Tombstone, Arizona. I had been once before, and even though it was very touristy there was some pretty neat stuff to see. My favorite part of Tombstone was that there was a shooting gallery where you could shoot fake bullets out …

Erin & Wes Go West – Day 1.

A vacation for Erin & I had been long overdue. We had never gone on a vacation together (even after dating for 2 1/2 years), and I hadn’t been on a vacation in over 4 years. We had been talking about going on a road trip to California for as long as we could remember, but with Erin’s job and internship, it was almost impossible to find the right time to go. That’s when we realized she would have exactly 10 days between when her internship at Red Productions ended and when a new semester started. So we had to …
